INTRODUCTION

``Sardinia by Boat'' has two fundamental aims. The first is to describe a fashionable way of trotting around the amazing coasts of Sardinia. Second but not least is to introduce the basic environmental rules which should be followed by anybody boating around Sardinia, and, by the way, in any other part of the World.

In Sardinia there are some of the wildest coasts in Italy and, maybe, all over the Mediterranean Sea. It is extremely important that everybody contributes to keep this place as wonderful as it is now.

We shall give a detailed description of trips in the `` where to go'' section. They are mainly intend for a period which goes from the simple one day out to the three days nautical camping.

Of course, the equipment has to be adapted depending on the number of days you indend to go for. In the ``equipment'' section we shall try to sort out this task.
